LBW Community College announces a new opportunity to take hundreds of online, instructor-facilitated non-credit courses through a partnership with ed2go.
“This new program allows individuals to take community education courses in a number of areas, all online with interaction with other students and instructors,” said Renée LeMaire, LBWCC public information officer and director of marketing and development.
Through the LBWCC website, ed2go offers courses in accounting, business, computer applications, design, health care and medical issues, creative writing, photography, law and legal areas, personal development, teaching and education, technology, writing and publishing.
“New sessions of each course are offered every month. They run for six weeks with two new lessons each week. For each course, there is a dedicated expert facilitator who helps pace learners, answers questions, gives feedback, and facilitates discussions.”
With access available at any time, day or night, participants have the flexibility of studying at their own pace while having enough structure and support to complete the course.
“This is a great way to learn more about a topic of interest, whether you’re into language and arts, the world of business, or personal development,” LeMaire said.
Some of the popular course titles include “Creating Web Pages,” “Accounting Fundamentals,” “Speed Spanish,” “Grant Writing,” “Medical Terminology,” and “Real Estate Investing.”
