Fort Dale Academy edged Monroe Academy 32-24 Thursday night in Monroeville.

Anne Matthews led the Lady Eagles’ charge with 17 points. She also dished out three assists and tallied seven steals.

Theresa Scott scored eight points, recorded five steals and pulled down a team-best 15 rebounds in the win.

Katie Cox chipped in four points and 10 rebounds for Fort Dale.

Mary Sanford Perdue finished with seven steals in the victory.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to face Escambia Academy. Junior varsity action is set to begin at 4 p.m. with varsity action to follow.
