Fort Dale Academy’s Chip Taylor scored 30 points to power the Eagles to a 57-47 victory over Monroe Academy Thursday night in Monroeville.

Taylor connected on 8-of-16 attempts, including 2-of-4 attempts from beyond the arc. He was also 12-for-15 from the free-throw line and pulled down eight rebounds and dished out four assists.

Taylor Windham scored 12 points and recorded four steals in the win. Windham also knocked down 6-of-8 free-throw attempts.

Jack Bates scored nine points and yanked down 10 rebounds in the win.

The Eagles will be back in action Tuesday when they travel to face Escambia Academy. Junior varsity action is set to begin at 4 p.m. with varsity action to follow.
