Frances Elizabeth McSwean Beall, age 96, of Brantley, passed away on January 21, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bentley Beall; parents, Malcolm L. and Pearl M. McSwean; brother, Malcolm L. McSwean, Jr.; sisters, Ester McSwean Bentley and Julia McSwean Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Betty June Weede Beall.

She is survived by her daughter, Velinda Beall Hogeboom (Edward) of Destin, Fla., and son, James F. Beall of Mountain Brook, Ala.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alison Beall Bryant (Mike), Amy Beall Michaux (Thornton), Betsy Beall Huff (David), Heather Hogeboom Fontes (Lenny), Josh Hogeboom (Kelly), Scott Hogeboom (Angie), and 17 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Brantley United Methodist Church for 85 years.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Brantley United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Precht officiating.

The family will receive visitors immediately after the service.
