James Davis “J.D.” Riddle

James Davis “J.D.” Riddle, 64, of Russellville, Ark., passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at his home. The son of James and Catherine Beavers Riddle, he was born Dec. 2, 1948. in Talladega, Ala. Davis was a graduate of Troy State University in Troy, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents.
J.D. was employed by Windsor Overhead Door as an outdoor salesman for more than 22 years. He was “Top Gun” salesman eight times and was awarded the President’s Ring twice. He was currently employed by A-Tech Suburban Inc. as regional sales manager. He was top-performing salesman in 2006 and Salesman of the Month 13 times in the last three years. Davis attended Pottsville Assembly of God Church. He was an avid movie buff, Razorback and NASCAR fan, and connoisseur of fine food.
Survivors include his sister Sue Ellen Riddle of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; three sons, Kevin Hays and wife Liz of Jacksonville, Fla., Trevor Hays of Zebulon, Ga., and Scott Hays of Dover; two grandsons, Avery Hays of Jacksonville, Fla., and Conner Hays of Zebulon, Ga.; several cousins in Biloxi, Miss., close friends Roger and Debby Cooper of Russellville, and numerous friends and acquaintances.
Funeral were held Jan. 7, 2013, at Humphrey Chapel. Reverend Sam Austin officiated. Graveside service were held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens South in Birmingham, Ala., on Jan. 8.
