The Panthers broke away from the sluggish offense that has marred their performance since Christmas break in a 67-44 toppling of Florala.

Head Coach Kirk Norris called the match “one of our better offensive games.”

“We shot the ball a lot better, especially for us being at home,” Norris said. “There is always a tendency to shoot better in your home gym, but that something we haven’t really done in the games prior to Brantley last week.”

Keon Binion led the offensive effort with 23, Rickey Everett came in with 14, and Lee Curry sunk 10 for the night.

“We got in a rhythm early,” Norris said. “Hopefully, our improved shooting will carry over into this Friday’s area game versus J.F. Shields.”

The Panthers record stands at 16-5, with a 1-2 record in the area. Norris said that the area, however, is still up in the air.

“It could go any direction right now,” Norris said. “It’s going to end up being an interesting next couple of weeks.”

The Panthers are still ranked #9.

“Its good to get some recognition for your program, but being ranked sot of puts a target on your back,” Norris said.
