The Panther’s bounced back after a tough loss to McKenzie with a close victory against rival Brantley, 54-49.
“Our area has been crazy this year,” said Coach Kirk Norris. “We really needed this win.”
Georgiana had the lead going into half, 27.24. Brantley came back late in the fourth to get up by 7, but a few missed shots and some successful Georgiana free-throw shooting let Georgiana slip back into the lead with less than 2 minutes remaining.
Keon Binion led the Panthers with 17 points, followed by Lee Curry with 14. Adrian Paige posted 11 points.
