Burglars broke into Bella Salon on Fort Dale Road last Thursday, stealing children’s clothing and a laptop computer, according to the Greenville Police Department.
Lieutenant Justin Lovvorn said a window air conditioner unit was removed and used to gain entry to the building sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning.
The air conditioner unit was not harmed or stolen, Lovvorn said.
Dale Gates, whose wife Cheryl owns Bella Salon, said a gumball machine, a bowl of Halloween candy and a box of crackers were also stolen.
“The clothes were leftover from when we owned Prissy Britches downtown,” Gates said. “We had a rack set up, getting them ready for a yard sale.”
Cheryl Gates said over 30 handmade items were stolen, most of which were holiday themed. Red and white dresses with a Scottie dog on the front were stolen, along with blue and multi colored snowman dresses. The items were for 6 months to 2 and 3T and still had tags from Prissy Britches.
