Fort Dale Eagles will travel to Edgewood Thursday for their final game of the regular season.
Assistant coach Josh Beverly said that although it isn’t a region game, it still matters.
“The main goal will be keeping everyone healthy, but we want to have a good taste in our mouths going into the playoffs,” Beverly said.
Beverly says Edgewood has had a lot of injuries, and is still limping without their starting quarterback.
“Their quarterback didn’t play last week and that was their first loss,” Beverly said. “We are practicing like he is going to play. They are a completely different team with him in the huddle.”
Meanwhile, the Eagles are still nursing a few of their wounds.
“We aren’t completely healthy yet, but we are getting there,” Beverly said. “Eli Blackmon has been practicing with us, but he isn’t quite ready yet.”
Beverly said that he hopes that the team will be one hundred percent by time they face Morgan for round one of the post-season.
