Georgiana will have one more chance to add a second W to their record this Thursday when they face Hillcrest.
But athletic director Kirk Norris says winning will take his players’ best effort.
“We got out hands full, but we are going to do our best. Hillcrest is having one of their better years,” Norris said. “They finished fourth in their region, but two of their four losses were to the number 1 and number 2 teams.”
Hillcrest, Norris said, has a lot of speed and skill.
Norris said that above all, he wants heart and effort from his team come Thursday.
“We have talked over and over about playing with pride,” Norris said. “The seniors will know its their last game ever, so I hope they will finish it out and play to the best of their ability. Maybe we can end on a high note.”
