Fort Dale Pee Wee and Junior Varsity football teams have picked up another set of wins, preserving both teams’ lossless record.

Pee Wee – Fort Dale 14 – Morgan Academy 12

The Pee Wee Game was a close one, being decided by only two points.
Morgan struck first, picking up 6 off a 58-yard run. The two-point conversion was no good, and the first quarter ended Morgan ahead 6-0.
Luke Taylor answered for the Eagles, in the second quarter, scoring 6 on a 1-yard run. The 2-point conversion failed, knotting the score to 6-6.
At 4:01 into the third quarter, Taylor again found the endzone, this time charging 11-yards to pick up the TD. On the two-point attempt, Taylor’s pass found the hands of Clay Thompson to give the Eagles the lead, 14-6.
Though Morgan scored on one more drive, a failed two-point conversion sealed the game 14-12.
Taylor led the ground game for the Eagles, picking up 73 yards and two touchdowns off 14 carries. In the air, Taylor threw a flawless game by completing all four of his attempts, picking up 67 yards total.
Richardson was lead receiver with 27 yards.
On defense, Taylor grabbed 10 tackles, Clay Thompson had 5 tackles and 1 interception and William Sherling slammed down 5 tackles of his own.
Junior Varsity – Fort Dale 42 – Morgan 18
The junior varsity had little trouble getting points on the board versus Morgan, outscoring them by 24 points.
Chip Taylor proved to be an offensive juggernaut, throwing three touchdown passes and picking up one off a run. Jacob Phillips also proved too hot to handle, picking up 3 touchdowns and one two-point conversion.
Taylor found John Coleman Poole first, with the two-point conversion good thanks to a reception by Jacob Phillips. The Eagles didn’t give Morgan a chance to score before Taylor again found the end zone, this time off a 60-yard run. The two point conversion was no good to make the score 14-0.
Morgan grabbed a quick 6, only to have Fort Dale score again on their next drive. Taylor connected with Phillips for a whopping 62-yards and the touchdown. With no time left on the clock in the first half, Phillips again picked up 6, this time off a 32-yard pass from Taylor. Chase Whiddon ran in the extra two to make the halftime score 28-6.
With 3:41 left in the third, Phillips took to the ground, scoring on a 10-yard run. Ryan Burkett ran in the extra two, FDA – 36 – MA – 6.
Morgan took it 85 yards back off a kickoff to grab its second TD of the day. Fort Dale, hoever, answered 30 seconds later, with Daniel Hall Autrey running 85 for 6. A final Morgan touchdown in the fourth brought the final score to 42-18.
Autrey led the Eagles in rushing, picking up 90 yards off amere 2 carries. Taylor followed close behind, with 6 carries for 89 yards.
In the air, Taylor tallied 3 touchdowns and 172 yards, completed 6 out of 8 attempts.
Phillips was the leading receiver, with 3 receptions for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns. Poole snatched up one for 54 yards and one touchdown.
Whiddon took down 9 Morgan players to be the leading tackler. Ryan Burkett had one interception.
