The Fort Dale Eagles hope to bounce back after a tough loss versus Clarke Prep Friday. The Eagles will travel to Atmore to face Escambia Academy.
“We got to get our head on straight and the screws back on tight,” said head Coach James “Speed” Sampley. “We are shooting ourselves in the foot on offense by turning the ball over, and defensively, we aren’t blocking very well.”
Sampley said he expects to face a tough defense from the 4-5 Cougars. Offensively, Sampley said that Escambia has a running back that will need to be contained.
“They got a little running back that is pretty quick,” Sampley said. “He’s got like 1700 rushing yards for the season so far.”
Sampley said keeping this back from producing would be clutch to coming out on top.
After a loss last week, Fort Dale stands at 6-2, with a 5-1 league record. The next two games will decide the Eagles fate in the postseason.
