Funeral services for Mary Cook were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2010 from Butler Chapel AME Zion Church, pastor Pamela Wilson, officiating. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery with Hudson Funeral Services of Greenville directing. She leaves to cherish her memories a husband, John F. Cook Jr.; three daughters, Melissia (Tony) Peagler, Roslyn and Nikkoshia Cook, all of Greenville; a son, John (Charlene) Cook III of Hampton, Ga.; a sister, Martha Thorpe of Pittsburgh, Pa.; four sisters-in-law, Helen Womack, Etta Neal, Geraldine Cook and Mattie (D.D.) Robinson, all of Greenville; one brother-in-law, Baine Cook of Bradenton, Fla; five grandchildren, Stephen Cook, Brittany Peagler and Aaliyah Peagler, all of Greenville, Jordan and Johnathon Cook of Hampton, Ga., and a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, her family of saints and friends.
