Fort Dale baseball coach Josh Beverly will be holding a baseball camp this summer.
The Fort Dale coaching staff will be there to assist, as well as former and current FDA players.
“We are trying to involve any and everyone that plays baseball, no matter what school,” Beverly said.
The camp will be held from June 9 – 11 at the fields behind Beeland Park. Beverly said the camp is open to kids ages 7-12 and will be divided by skill level.
Beverly said coaching staff would cover everything from fielding and base running to hitting and pitching. Participants will need to bring their own gloves, bats and helmets. Water will be provided, but players are free to bring their own drinks.
The camp will cost $60 for all three days, or $20 per day. This price includes a camp T-shirt.
Beverly said going to summer sports camps is a great way to get more experience in the off-season.
“If nothing else, you learn the right way to do the small stuff, the fundamentals,” Beverly said. “You can’t progress your game if you don’t master those techniques first.
