Oceans of fun continued at the Greenville-Butler County Public Library this week as a band of pirates sailed in for Summer Reading. Children enjoyed hearing seaworthy stories, acting out tales of adventure on the high seas, creating their own colorful parrots and other proper pirate props, and going on an exciting treasure hunt throughout the library.

Summer Reading sessions continue through July 22 with a different aquatic theme every week. Two, three and four-year-olds meet with “Miss” Jean Bauer each Wednesday at 3 p.m.; K-5 through 1st grade, at 11 a.m. Thursdays and 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders at 3 p.m. Thursdays.
