Rescheduled LBWCC tournament ‘a success’

After being delayed a week due to rain, the LBWCC Camellia City Classic hit the links Wednesday at Cambrian Ridge for the annual tournament.
Though the humidity was high, the rain stayed away and nearly 60 golfers took part.
“We had 59 golfers as opposed to the 80 planned for last week because we had several teams from out of town that couldn’t make it back,” said tournament coordinator Arlene Davis. “Overall, it was very successful. We didn’t have any delays, and everyone played through. It made for a good day.”
The team of Dexter McLendon, Josh Pierce, Steve Brown and Brian McCormick placed first with a round of 46.3.
