Frank Merrett, a resident of Fort Deposit, passed away on Jan. 24, at the age of 80.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Fort Deposit with Reverend Bruce Coker officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Elsworth and Marjorie (Floyd) Merrett; brother, Leonard “Sonny” Merrett; grandson, James Edward Merrett; father and mother-in-law, John L. and Callie Mae (Sampley) Phelps; brothers-in-law, Frank Coker, Sr., Bill Peterson and nephew, Mike Merrett.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lena Mae (Phelps) Merrett; his sons, Jeffery Warren Merrett, Joseph Neil Merrett and James Wayne Merrett; daughters-in-law, Kaye (Owens) Merrett, Bethany (Trimm) Merrett and Katie (Bailey) Merrett; grandchildren, Taegan Cole (Sarah Nelson) Merrett, Haiston Conner Merrett, Saxon Collier Merrett, Logan Frank Merrett, Davis Alan Merrett, Andrew Thomas Merrett and Nathan Lee Merrett; sister, Peggy Jean (Merrett) Peterson; nephews, Don Coker, Frank Coker and Mark Merrett; niece, Cindy Coker; sister-in-law, Norma Lingenfelter; nieces-in-law, Sharon (Booker) Merrett and Claudia Merrett, along with many great nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
