Butler County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Wednesday, Jan. 22, in response to the state of emergency declared by Governor Kay Ivey because of severe winter weather conditions affecting the state.

During this closure, virtual and e-learning requirements will be suspended. Classes are scheduled to resume on Thursday, Jan. 23, unless adverse weather conditions persist.

“The safety and well-being of our students, staff, and community remain our top priority,” said Superintendent Joseph Eiland. “We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this situation.”
