Martha Ann Simmons Barganier, a resident of Fort Deposit, passed away on Jan. 15, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19, beginning at 2 p.m. at Fort Deposit Church of Christ with Minister Steve Foster and Minister Jack Cates officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Myrtlewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1 p.m. until service time.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, George Mack Simmons and Mary Eugene (Jeanie) Davis Simmons; her husband, Sam Barganier, Sr. and grandson, Phillip Heath Norris.

She is survived by her children, Wanda (Robert) Kuhn, Sam (Laurie Ledbetter) Barganier, Jr. and Henry Corneilous “Neil” Barganier; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Conway, Anna (Robert) Myrick, Hanna (Caleb) Thrower, AJ (Christina Wilkins) Barganier, Griffin Barganier, Katie (Shane) McCay, Royce, Brian and Tyler Kuhn and Cory (Kaitlan) Kuhn; great grandchildren, Kaylee and Kassidy Barganier, Emilee Myrick, Annabelle and Andrew Conway, Devontae, Annsleigh, Callie and Cole Thrower, Allie, Andrew and Avery Wilkins, Leighton and Emily Rampulla, Mikayla and Ethan Baumgarner, Taylor, Cole and Ryanne McCay, Bryson and Addie Nichols and Koda Kuhn; brother, Mack Simmons and sisters-in-laws, Ruth Simmons and Karen Simmons; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

The family requests for any Alabama fans to wear Alabama colors in loving memory of Martha.
