It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Andrew Williams, affectionately known as Andy, on Dec. 5, at the age of 52. Andy was a beloved husband, doting father and the kind of friend anyone would want to have in their corner.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his uncle, James Pouncey.

He is survived by his loving family, including his devoted wife, Kristi, his children, Austin Williams, Andrew (Ana) Williams, Shelby (Austin) Mathis and Hayden Mayes and his grandchildren, Fisher Posey, Hazel Posey, Sophie Mathis and Cooper Mathis, parents, Ricky Williams and Ann Pouncey Williams, brother, Josh Williams, sister, Krissy (Kyle) Alderson, brother-in-law, Tim Appleton, uncles, Mike Williams (Elaine) and Kenny Pouncey; aunts, Jane Williams and Betty Pouncey (Richard Kimbrough); nieces and nephews, Jay Williams, Ann Ward, Kayla Appleton, Emily Appleton and Camryn Williams and cousins, Karrie Taylor and James McGough (Cristal).

Andy was known for his love of baseball, his dedication to the Crimson Tide, his dedication and pride for his family, his appreciation for fast cars and lifted jeeps and most of all his beloved Nike Shox. Andy will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A graveside service will be on Monday, Dec. 9, at Magnolia Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. with Brother Dusty Taylor officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.
