Griel Levon Stinson, born March 8,1948, in Georgiana, departed for the Heavenly Gates at his home on Nov. 25. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lois Stinson, father, Leroy Stinson and two sisters – Elaine Eady and Lyndia Kay Brooks. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, his three children: Melisa Stinson, Sheena (Scott) Giddens and Griel Bradford (Theresa) Stinson; grandkids: Taylor (Damaris) Stinson, Shaun Giddens, Shelby Giddens, Jackson (Lauren) Stinson, Ethan Stinson, Abbygayle (Brandon) Lanfair, Ely Stinson, Addy Stinson, Karrigan Pipkin, Alexis Todd, Brian (Kalease) Davis and Courtnie Davis; great-grandkids: Zeus Stinson, Aurora Stinson, Cooper Giddens, Jenson Giddens, Nevaeh Ziglar, KB Lanfair, Skylee Till, Lucas Stinson, Marie Davis, Logan Kendrick, Clayton Kendrick and Brynlee Halford; brothers and sisters: Conrad Stinson, Bobby Stinson, Earl Stinson, Arnold Stinson, Ann Adams, Sally Ann Stokes, Lois Stinson, Merle (Royce) Talbert,  a host of nieces and nephews and friends and a lifelong friend, Sandra Taylor. 

Griel was a hard-working man who loved his kids more than anything. He got the most enjoyment riding around and throwing a fishing line.
