On Saturday, Nov. 23, The Curio officially opened its doors on Commerce Street in Greenville, inviting the community to explore its eclectic collection of secondhand treasures.

“We are excited to bring something new to the downtown area,” said owner Nancy Idland. “Thrifting is popular all over the world and at its best right here in the ‘Ville. We invite you to visit The Curio at 211 Commerce where new ‘used’ treasures will arrive weekly.”

Shoppers at The Curio can expect a unique variety of items, including furniture, holiday décor, framed art, glassware, china and baskets. There’s also a selection of books, jewelry, lamps and even the occasional vintage party blouse.

The store’s mission goes beyond retail, embracing the joy and sustainability of thrifting. Many of the store’s items are handpicked from other thrift stores, estate sales and even roadside finds. Idland encourages customers to share their wish lists for special items, promising to keep an eye out for unique requests.

The Curio is open Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., offering a weekend destination for treasure hunters and thrifting enthusiasts.
