With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a lifetime of memories, we announce the passing of our beloved Margaret Bowden Griggers on Nov. 7 at the age of 93. Born on July 6, 1931, Margaret was a source of laughter, love, and endless stories — a true Southern gem who made everyone feel like family.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, Nov. 11, beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dunklin Funeral Home with Brother Jason Simmons and Brother Jason Beiler officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial followed in Magnolia Cemetery. The family received friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.

She is now reunited with her parents, Franklin Bowden and Lexie Long Bowden; her husband of 56 wonderful years, Perry Griggers Jr.; her grandson, Joe Earl Bradford III and her siblings, Sydney Lee Bowden and Betty Ann Rutherford. Though our hearts ache, we can almost hear her joyful reunion with loved ones above, sharing stories and laughter as she takes her rightful place among the saints.

Margaret leaves behind a loving legacy in her two daughters, Debra Griggers Hadden (Mike) and Dusty Griggers Hartley (Keith), who were blessed with her wisdom, humor and tenacity. Her grandchildren, Ashley Jones Simmons (Jason), Sommer Bradford Brown (Doug) and Hannah Hamm Bradford, will forever carry her spirit forward, each in their own way. She is also survived by her dear siblings Ollie Bowden Moorer, Shirley Bowden, Sara Ann Thompson and a host of nieces and nephews all of whom remember her as both family and friend.
