Cops & Kids

The Greenville Police Department will host Cops and Kids on Wednesday, Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meet Tobie the K-9 officer along with other public safety officers. The free event is taking place at the station on 109 Caldwell Street in Greenville.

Trick or Treat is happening in downtown Greenville on Thursday, Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Haunted Tunnel

The Reel hunt and the Brush-Mashy Volunteer Fire Department at 512 East Railroad Avenue in Georgiana will present Hauntedunnel Oct. 31, 6 – 9 p.m. There is no admission for this night of ghoul and not-so-ghoul for all ages.

Celebrate Recovery 

Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.

Quilt Club 

Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome. 

Book Club

The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.

Music Class

FUMC is hosting a juniors music class for elementary kids aged 4-10 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday nights at 112 Adams St. Singing, handbells, and rhythm instruments. Call  382-5872 for more info.

Quilt Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome.

Book Signing

Author JoDee Neatherly will hold a book signing Nov. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce located at 1 Depot Square in Greenville. Neatherly will sign copies of her award-winning book, “A Kind of Hush.”

Food Drive

Heart of Alabama Food Bank will host the Butler County Food & Fund Drive Friday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Walmart in Greenville. All food collected will remain in Butler County.

Turkey Shoot

The American Legion is hosting a Turkey Shoot fundraiser for Boy’s and Girl’s State at the Central Riding Arena/Volunteer Fire Dept. on Halso Mill Road Saturday, Nov. 2. Age, gender and veteran categories for 12 and under plus up to 60 and over are available. Register 9-10 a.m. Competition starts at 10 a.m.

Malpass Brothers

The traditional country music duo, the Malpass Brothers, will bring their show to the Georgiana Opry House Saturday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25. Visit www.georgianaopryhouse.com for more information.

Holiday Market

Country Classic

Lions Sight

Fall Festival

The Spring Creek Homemakers’ Club will hold its fall festival Nov. 23, 8 – 10 a.m. at the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department on Steiner Store Road in Honoraville. Items for sale to benefit the Spring Creek Volunteer Fire Department will be home baked goods, candies, white elephant items, and more.  

Christmas Market

A Christmas Market will take place at Christchurch (formerly Southern Homes and Gardens) at 8820 Vaughn Road in Montgomery Nov. 21 from 5 – 8 p.m., Nov. 23 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 24 12 – 4 p.m. Tickets are $10  at the door or at christchurchanglican.net/bookstore.

Strait Country

The City of Greenville’s Christmas Parade will take place downtown, Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m.
