Sally Jean Duke, a resident of Greenville passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 7, at the age of 78.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12 beginning at 10 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Brother Jonathon Duke and Brother Blair McBride officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, Oct. 11 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband, James “Buster” Duke; son, Damon Crandle Duke; her parents, Alvin Hayden Pope and Eula Estelle Pope; sister, Carolyn McNair; brother, Ronnie Pope and sister, Juanita Owens.

She is survived by son, Keith Duke of Starlington; son, Greg (Debbie) Duke of Honoraville; daughter, Shonda McCord of Loxley; grandchildren, Jonathon (Amanda) Duke of Fairhope; Hayden (Corinne) Duke of Nashville, Tennessee; Austin (Keitha) Duke of Greenville; Molli (Michael) Wallace of Honoraville; Delana Duke of Greenville; Devin Duke of Greenville; Cheyenne McCord of Loxley; Christian McCord of Loxley and McKinna Duke of Cullman; nine great grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Gandy of Honoraville; brothers, Glen Pope of Greenville and Charles Pope of Spring Garden; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
