On Sept 25, the Greenville Camellia Society (GCS) teamed up with Sheriff Danny Bond to establish a camellia garden on the grounds of the Sheriff’s building. A dozen vibrant camellias were chosen according to Sheriff Bond’s preferences.
Society member and Master Gardener Linda Jarzyniecki spearheaded the project and GCS President Jan Newton said the effort expands the society’s beautification mission..
“We are excited to partner with Sheriff Bond,” Newton said. “As a service organization, the Greenville Camellia Society is grateful for this opportunity to enhance the Sheriff’s building and contribute to Greenville’s beautification with camellias. We are proud to continue this historic tradition in the Camellia City.”
