On Wednesday, Sept. 5, Wayne Allison Stinson, of Georgiana, (Providence Community) passed away at home surrounded by his two daughters and loving wife. Wayne was born on Nov. 13, 1932, and lived a great long life.
He is preceded in death by his father William Wesley (Bill) and his mother Sarah Jane Burkett Stinson. His sisters Ora Dee Black (J.B.), Eather Bash Stinson, Helen Aline S. Keeney (Neil), Florence Myriah S. Casey (Tommy) and Edna Jane Black (Chester)1and brothers Glen O’Neal Stinson (Ruth), Roy Lemuel Stinson (Larene), Mitchell Allen Stinson (Betty) and William Elbert Stinson (Merle).
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Acreman Stinson and his two daughters, Renee Stinson Wilson (Glen) and Jackie Stinson Thompson (Paul).
The family accepted friends on Sunday, Sept. 8 beginning at 12 p.m. for visitation until 1:30 p.m. from the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Graveside services immediately followed with Brother Herbert Brown officiating at Private Hey Buck Cemetery next to Providence Cemetery on Starlington Road Georgiana.
The family would like to give special thanks to Renee Olive, Tonya Jarman, Tammi Smith and Mrs. Emma of Aveanna Hospice excellent compassionate people.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital, 201 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Serving as pallbearers were Keith Stinson, Troy Casey, Jan Black, David Burkett, Glen Wilson and Paul Thompson.
