On Thursday, September 5, 2024 around 5:30pm, the Greenville Police Department Special Response Team executed a search warrant for the Drug Task Force on Chalet Drive in Greenville.
The Greenville Police Department seized 4 guns, over two pounds of illegal drugs, and over one-thousand dollars during the search warrant.
The search warrant is the result of an extensive investigation by the Drug Task Force in which they developed probable cause that illegal drug activity was taking place at the residence.
The occupant, Lionel Johnson, a 45-year-old black male from Greenville, was charged with Drug Trafficking, Possession with Intent to Distribute, Certain Persons Forbidden from Possessing a Firearm, Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Additional Federal charges are pending.
“I would like to thank the Drug Task Force and their continued efforts to remove harmful illegal drugs from our city streets and the combined effort with the Greenville Special Response Team to keep our citizens safe,” said Greenville Police Chief Justin Lovvorn.”
