Country Place Senior Living invites the community tor a memorable celebration of its 10th anniversary on Thursday, Sept 12, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1035 Fort Dale Road. The event will feature music, wine, hors d’oeuvres and giveaways, all in honor of a decade dedicated to serving the Greenville community with compassion and care.
“Our community has been in operation for 10 years, and we’re celebrating that,” said Alaina Norman, director of Country Place Senior Living. “I’m super excited because I’ve also been here 10 years, and to see the way we’ve grown, being supported by this city and the community, is amazing.”
The anniversary party is the highlight of a week-long series of events kicking off National Assisted Living Week. The festivities begin Sunday, Sept. 8, with a Grandparents Day Lemonade and Watermelon Social from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., complete with family portraits.
On Monday, Sept 9, at 10:30 a.m., a spirited pep rally featuring local cheer and dance teams and bands will celebrate “Inspiring Generations.” Guests can enjoy tailgating foods in a football-themed event.
Tuesday, Sept 10, brings a Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with local businesses, home health services, hospice care and physical therapists offering information and services, along with food trucks like Papa Bo’s, K and K Seafood and Camellia Sweet Treats.
Wednesday is set aside for a community-wide Bible study at 10 a.m., welcoming all denominations.
“This is completely non-denominational; it doesn’t matter if you’re Baptist, Methodist or whatever,” Norman added. “Everyone is welcome.”
The week concludes on Friday, Sept 13, with an End of Summer Luau from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., featuring games, prizes and snacks.
“It’s a wonderful way to end the week, full of fun, community and celebration,” Norman said. “It was really important to us to keep a small community with a home-like feel for our seniors and we still have residents here who were here when we opened… We’d love for the community to come out, visit and get to know us.”
