Mr. Willie Wayne Ward, age 76, of Georgiana died on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Graveside services will be held at Brushy Creek Cemetery on Friday, Aug 30 at 10 a.m. with Brother Randy Harvill officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. 

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Jim and Ola Lee Lowery Ward; brothers, Paul Ward and Bobby Ward; sister, Judy Ward Black and nephew, Dwight Ward. He is survived by his nephews, Matt (Alex Moore) Black, David Ward and Daniel Ward and niece, Leah (Trey) Black Coker.

Wayne honorably served his country for years and fought alongside his comrades in Vietnam. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting deer and turkey. Wayne will be deeply missed by those who knew him best.
