Douglas C Herring, 85, a resident of Georgiana passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14. 

Graveside Service was held on Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at 2 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Georgiana, with Bro. Gary Glass officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. The family will begin receiving friends for visitation starting at 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Georgiana.

Mr. Doug was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Cathy Wood Herring. 

Mr. Doug was survived by a number of nieces and nephews, and other family members.
