Obituary – Rose Marie (Frost) Edwards

Rose Marie (Frost) Edwards, born Sept. 20 in Crenshaw, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Aug. 10 in Dahlonega, Georgia.

Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 14, beginning at 10 a.m. at Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Panola with Reverend Bruce Coker officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing.  The family received friends for visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. “Bill” Edwards; granddaughter, Michaela Veliz; her parents, A.D. and Versie Frost; and siblings, Joe Frost, Guy Frost, Emmett Ray Frost, Blanch Owens and Mary Lowe.

She is survived by her son, James “Randy” Edwards of Luverne; daughter, Linda Findlay (Rod) of Dahlonega, Georgia; son, Walter Ronnie Edwards (Jennifer) of Myakka City, Florida and her son, Charles Ronald Edwards (Rhonda) of Parrish, Florida.

She was a much-loved wife, mother and “Mamaw”. A caregiver to many, she adored her nine grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Marie also loved to cook, work in her flowers and read her romance novels. She retired after working 26 years on the swing shift for Tropicana in Bradenton, Florida.
