May 11, 1957 – July 24, 2024
Jesse Walter, formally from Honoraville, passed away peacefully in his sleep after battling with illness resulting from a work-related accident since 2020 in White Earth, North Dakota at the age of 67.
JW was a big man with a heart of gold. He joined the Army in 1975 and spent several years in Europe. When he returned, he worked maintaining railroad tracks before he started driving “big rigs”. He loved to travel and spent much of his life doing just that. Finally in 2012, he went to North Dakota to work on the pipeline. There he met Rhonda and spent the last 12 years together living and loving White Earth, North Dakota.
JW was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Rebecca Thrower. JW is survived by a sister Mavis (Eric) Butts of Athens, a brother Eric (Denise) Thrower of Falkville, one niece, Jessica (Ben) Butts-Harrell of Athens and one nephew, Daniel Butts of Owens Cross Roads.
His family and friends have many memories of JW and he will be missed.
