Fort Dale Academy in Greenville has been honored with the prestigious Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) Blue Ribbon School Award for the 2023-2024 academic year.
“It’s really a tremendous honor,” said Fort Dale Headmaster, David Sikes. “It reflects the hard work and the dedication of our teachers, staff and students.”
The Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) announced award recipients in a recent press release, recognizing schools with exceptional educational programs.
“It just shows the success of the dedication of our teachers and our whole staff as we prepare our students for the world that they are entering into,” Sikes added.
Fort Dale also received the Blue Ribbon honor in 2022 and plans to have the ceremonial ribbon matted and framed to display on campus.
The AISA Blue Ribbon Award program aims to acknowledge member schools that demonstrate excellence in various areas, including scholastic achievement, professional learning, student involvement and community interaction. To be considered for the award, schools undergo a rigorous application process and must exemplify a high level of excellence in their academic and student programs.
Since its establishment in 1970, the AISA has been dedicated to maintaining an organization of independently operated non-public schools committed to academic excellence and the growth and development of students. The association strives to provide quality educational services and programs, enriching the educational experiences of students within its member schools.
