Gerald Wayne Killough, age 81, a resident of Greenville passed away peacefully on July 8.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, July 13, beginning at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Brother Herbert Brown and Brother Lane Simmons officiating and Dunklin Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Frazier Killough and Lena Grace Oswald; brothers, Kenneth Killough and Ronnie Killough abd sisters, Shirlee Banning, Carolyn Black and Sue Boutwell.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ann Raybon Killough; children, Tracey (Anthony) Dribben, Tabatha (Wes) Sutherin, Tara Rhodes and Gerald (Krystal) Killough; sister, Bonnie Poole; grandchildren, Hubert (Jess) Stokes, Julia Dribben, Heidi Johns, Molly (Austin) Reaves, Anna Grace Dribben, Gavin Rhodes, Brodie Killough, Sydney Rhodes, Presley Rhodes, Tucker Killough and Camden Killough; great grandchildren, Jace Kirby, Frankie Stokes, Brantley Stokes, Finn Reaves, Angie Pearl Stokes, Hudson Reaves and Houston Reaves, along with many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Wayne was a member of the Jaycees, Rotary Club, Camp ASCCA and the American Legion. During his employment, he served as manager of Sears and Good Year. He worked as an agent with Liberty National for two years, sales manager for seven years and district manager for 16 years. He was a three-time recipient of The Council of Champions with Liberty National. He served 32 years in the Alabama National Guard retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
