Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Butler County Sheriff’s office will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 801 Walnut Street at 10 a.m. on May 9 to unveil a new community prescription drug drop box.
Cemetery Cleaning
Families of those buried in the cemetery of Mt. Olive East Baptist Church are asked to help clear debris on Saturday morning, May 11. Donations to help with maintenance may be forwarded to A.K. Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery meets every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 760 N. Conecuh Street in Greenville. The group deals with all types of issues and is free to the public. For more information call (334) 382-2138.

Quilt Club meets every Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced quilters welcome.
Book Club
The No Stress Book Club will be held at 4 p.m. every second and fourth Wednesday of month at the Greenville Butler County Public Library, located at 309 Fort Dale Road.
Music Class
FUMC is hosting a juniors music class for elementary kids aged 4-10 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday nights at 112 Adams St. Singing, handbells, and rhythm instruments. Call 382-5872 for more info.

Quilt Club meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenville-Butler Co. Public Library. Beginner and advanced knitters welcome.

Marker Dedication
The Butler County Historical and Genealogical Society will host a dedication of a Native American historical marker on May 16 at 1 p.m at mile marker 128 in Chapman.
Car/Bike Show
Camellia Collision Center’s 2nd Annual Car and Bike Show will be held Saturday, May 18, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Safe Harbour Children’s Advocacy Center. There is a $20 per vehicle entry fee. Hosted in partnership with Iron Vikings Motorcycle Club.
Homecoming reunion
Mt. Olive East Baptist Church on McKenzie Grade Road will hold its annual homecoming reunion on Sunday, May 19. The Knight family will host the program that begins at 11 a.m. with dinner on the grounds following. Ancestors of Brogden, Cain, Capps, Cooper, Craig, Faust, Free, Goins, Knight, Miniard, Parker and Sims will be recognized.
Boston Butt Sale
Plan your Memorial Day picnic by buying a Boston Butt from the Georgiana Masonic Lodge #285 on May 25 – 26. Tickets for $35 can be purchased from any Lodge member.
Fishing Tournament
The Fishers of Men Fishing Tournament, a ministry of Genesis Baptist Church, will be held May 25 – 27 at 488 Pearl Lane is Lenox. The contest is free to enter and offers six grand prizes with two age divisions, 12 and under and 13 and up. Call 855.244.3466 Ext. 5.
Music Festival
The 45th Annual Hank Williams Music Festival is slated for May 31 – June 1 featuring
Diamond Rio on Friday and Craig Morgan on Saturday.
Car Wash
The Butler County Humane Society will hold a carwash at O’Reily’s with a pizza party afterwards on June 15 from 12-4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Jr. Humane Society.
