Mrs. Eddie Belle Phillips Blackburn, 87, a resident of Georgiana, Alabama passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 2.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6 beginning at 2 p.m. from Johnson Funeral Home with Brother Mike Phillips officiating and Johnson Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow Shackleville Cemetery, Georgiana. The family will begin receiving friends for visitation at 1 p.m. until service.
Mrs. Eddie Belle was born in Shackleville to Tommy and Annie Belle Phillips. Graduated from Greenville High School in 1954. She began her working career as a telephone operator at a local telephone company, where she worked until she began career as owner of poultry business until she retired. She was a member of Shackleville Baptist Church.
Mrs. Eddie Belle is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Annie Belle Phillips; sister, Lydia Ann Raybon; brother, Eugene Phillips.
Mrs. Eddie Belle is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Allen Blackburn, Georgiana, Al; children, Phil (Cathy) Blackburn, Kaye (Clay) Nolan, Keith (Teresa) Blackburn; sister, Sara Ellen Coudill; brother, Lloyd Phillips; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous of other extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Nolen, Reuben Godwin, Patton Gunter, Matt Blackburn, Blake Pilcher, Chad Phillips
