On July 4, the Georgiana Opry House hosted an Independence Day celebration. The event, which was organized by Opry House managing owner Tracy Eason, brought people from the community and beyond together for an evening filled with live music, food and fireworks.
The doors opened promptly at 2 p.m. with free hotdogs and hamburgers served to all patrons. Shane Owens Country, Darrell Qualls and the Outlaw Band, and The Shawn Stuckey Band provided music for the event.
Georgiana resident Pam Ward expressed her delight with the celebration.
“We really enjoyed the night,” Ward said. “The entertainment was awesome, and the fireworks were fabulous. Thank you, Tracy Eason and The Georgiana Opry House, for everything you do. We love it.”
Darrell Qualls of Opp said he thoroughly enjoyed performing during the Independence Day Celebration.
“We had such a good time,” Qualls said. “The Georgiana Opry House is an amazing place with an amazing owner and staff.”
Eason expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming turnout and the collective effort which made the event a success.
“I am so thankful that Shane Owens Country, Darrell Qualls, and The Shawn Stuckey Band pitched in to help provide the community with a great option for their July 4th. I received so many compliments about my amazing sound team. They really take us to the next level, and I am extremely proud of them. It was very good to see so many in the audience that have been supporting us since the beginning like Rex and Pam Shows, Keith and Sherry Fuller, and so many more. If I mentioned everyone that helped, I’d have to write a book, but thanks to all from the bottom of my heart!”
Bobbi Burch Wingrove, representing the Shawn Stuckey Band, said it was a privilege to contribute to the celebration at the historic Georgiana Opry House.
“We were honored to be a part of this dedication to our country’s independence at the historic Georgiana Opry House,” Wingrove said. “The mission of the Georgiana Opry House is worth every drop of sweat Tracy and others have put into it. Kudos to Tracy. We love her and the Georgiana Opry House.”
Just after dark, venue staff treated the crowd to a vibrant display of pyrotechnics with their fireworks show.
Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the Georgiana Fire Department played a vital role in overseeing the fireworks display. Their presence was greatly appreciated by both the event organizers and the attendees, as they worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe on this special holiday.
“We had a great turnout for the fireworks,” Eason said. “I am very thankful to the Georgina Fire Department for having our backs and keeping everyone safe, even on a holiday!”
The Georgiana City Hall provided attendees with full-hook-up RV sites. Eason said this thoughtful gesture allowed attendees the opportunity to enjoy a hassle-free experience, further enhancing their overall enjoyment of the event and she hopes to continue collaborating with the city for future events..
Next up on the calendar at The Georgiana Opry House is an end of summer party. Music will be provided by Sail On, a Beachboys Tribute band. The show will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
