Have you ever gone on a trip that you were excited about, only to arrive at the hotel desk and learn they can’t seem to find your reservation and the hotel is full? In those instances, you may have had to change directions and possibly stay in a non-desirable place.
Did you know that in John chapter 14: 2-3 Jesus tells us that in His Father’s house, there are many mansions and that if it were not true, He would not tell us this? Jesus says He’s going there to prepare a place for us, and He will come back to take us with Him.
It’s a future trip we will all hopefully take one day, to be in Heaven in the mansion prepared for us by our Savior.
There’s an interesting point to the trip; in Matthew 10: 32 Jesus says that whoever acknowledges Him before others, He will acknowledge before His Father in Heaven. So, you see when we arrive at the front desk of Heaven before God, the Father, Jesus, will come beside us to inform the Father whether or not we have believed in Him (Jesus Christ).
I can’t wait for that moment when the voice of Jesus acknowledges to the Father that I know Him and I get to see the room He has prepared for me in the Heavenly Mansion.
If you believe in Jesus as your Savior then you share the excitement of that day with me. If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, I share with you some great news from John 14: 4-6. After Jesus tells us of the place He prepares for us, the disciple Thomas told Jesus that we don’t know where you were going. So, if we don’t know where we’re going, how can we know how to get there?
Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.”
If we follow Jesus and believe in Him, He will show us the way to eternal life with the Father . God Bless! Please send questions and comments to me at Eastsidebaptistchurch@ymail.com
