On Saturday, Greenville Automotive Group completed its two-week annual liquidations sale.
The event was the first held under new ownership as one group and included the dealerships known as Greenville Chevrolet and Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
“I am so grateful for the incredible turnout we had for our year-end sale.” said owner, Charles Hagler III. “Thank you to Butler County and the surrounding areas for your continued support. We value your trust and confidence in us and sincerely appreciate you.”
The group, owned by Hagler, Chapel Hill, and Chris Avant, held the sale featuring over 350 new and used vehicles on its dealership lots located just off Interstate 65 to heighten the community’s awareness of the locations.
“Overall, we did better than what we expected,” said Chloe Young, the group’s marketing manager. “Ultimately, the goal was to make people aware that we are here. Several people that come onto our lots said, ‘We didn’t know y’all were down here.’ People drive on that interstate all the time and just did not know we were here.”
Dealerships across America have experienced difficulties keeping inventory, but Young noted the group’s owners have navigated those challenges to keep vehicles on hand for customers to consider.
“We were so lucky to have full lots at both dealerships,” Young said. “We haven’t really experienced low inventory, especially at the Dodge dealership. Once we combined, we had over 350 to choose from and around 70 were new.”
The sale began Dec. 26 and ran through Saturday, with a “big hurrah” on the final day. Young said salesman J.R. Shell went out of his way to promote the sale and brought in free Pepsi products and doughnuts passed out by Greenville Chamber of Commerce Camellia Girls and Chamber Pages.
“On behalf of the staff and I at Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and Greenville Chevrolet, we would like to say thank you for shopping our End of the Year liquidation sale,” said General Manager Keith Baker. “We were thrilled to offer Greenville and the surrounding areas a one-stop shop to purchase their new vehicle. We look forward to seeing you again soon.”
