Fort Dale Academy football fans will get to see the school’s new press box on Aug. 25.

According to Fort Dale Academy Headmaster David Sikes, the school’s Parent Teacher Association launched a Capital Improvement Campaign four years ago to raise money for the new structure. 

With the help of several volunteers who donated both their time and services, including Montgomery Technological Services LLC, Barry Boan and Brad Ballew, the 3600-square-foot structure is almost complete.

The new press box features air conditioning, restrooms, and a concession stand.

It also contains a spirit booth and rooms for television and radio crews.

The upstairs even has a room for the coaches and a meeting room.

While they still have a few finishing touches to complete, like painting the drywall, Sikes said the volunteers will no doubt have the building ready for this season’s first game against Hooper Academy.
