The Southside Baptist Church women’s group, Service Abounding in Love and Truth, or SALT Women’s Ministry, is presenting guest speaker Crystal Russell for its upcoming “Girl Talk” evening Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m.

The event will be held in the Cornerstone room at Southside Baptist located at 211 King Street in Greenville. The cost to attend is $10 per person.

Comedic storyteller, motivational speaker, and all-around funny lady, Russell and her alter ego “Claudean Louise” will provide an evening of tall tales, inspiration, and down-to-earth praise and worship.

Women ages 18 and older are encouraged to join in the fun and fellowship.

Laughter and The Word are Russell’s hallmarks – her way of getting the gospel out and Claudean Louise’s point across.

Russell, who lives in Clanton, travels to churches, conferences, and just about anywhere else Claudean Louise is allowed to speak.

Kim Stinson, the director of SALT at Southside, said Russell turns “funny into a message.”

“She has been featured at Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee,” Stinson said.

Josh Burt and Friends will be the musical guests for the event.

The deadline to register is Aug. 25.
