Georgiana beats Straughn on hardwood

The Georgiana varsity boys and girls played the Straughn Tigers on the road Monday.
The varsity boys emerged the victors in their game with a final score of 60-41.
Tremari Longmire led the boys with 17 points. Zach Boggan and Amari Feagin scored 12 points, with Boggan with 14 rebounds and Feagin with five.
The boys currently sit at a 5-1 record for the season.
The varsity girls also took home a victory following their game with a final score of 39-22.
Lillie Boggan led the varsity girls with 11 points. Zykeria McClain scored 10 points with six steals.
The varsity girls are currently 4-2 for the season.
This is the second time this season that the varsity boys and girls have played Straughn.
During the November 29 matchup, the varsity boys beat Straughn at home with a final score of 59-44.
Josh Sims led the team during that game with 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Tremari Longmire scored 13 points and Nasir Cheatam scored 10 points.
The varsity girls also beat Straughn during their matchup with a final score of 50-46.
Lillie Boggan led the team with 21 points during the game.
Angel Haynes scored 14 points and Alexea Bess scored 10 points.
