McKenzie Tigers shred the Wildcats

The McKenzie Tigers beat the Florala Wildcats during Friday’s conference game 44-35.
Florala was the first to score after completing a 41-yard rushing touchdown with seven minutes left in the first quarter.
The Tigers then received the ball at their 32-yard line.
Immediately following the snap, Kamern “Bo” Daniels ran 68-yards for a touchdown.
Daniels would score again for the Tigers with nine minutes to go in the second quarter after a 71-yard run.
The Tigers scored a two-point conversion thanks to Jakarrie Mcpherson.
Halfway into the second quarter, Florala scored after a 75-yard touchdown pass from Maharri Thatch to Austin Howell from the Florala 25-yard line.
The Tigers were able to block Florala’s extra point attempt.
With three minutes to go until halftime, the Tigers extended their lead after Daniels scored his third touchdown of the night from the Florala nine-yard line.
After a successful two-point conversion, the Tigers went into halftime leading the Wildcats 22-13.
McKenzie received the kick to start the second half.
Despite an impressive run by Zanderion Cook to the 18-yard line, the Wildcats managed to hold off the Tiger’s offense and took over on downs near their 20-yard line.
The Wildcats ran the ball to the 35-yard line and later scored a touchdown after a successful run by Colby Strickland.
After a two-point conversion by Rayshon Coleman, the Wildcats shortened the Tiger’s lead 22-21.
In the fourth quarter, Tigers wide receiver Zanderion Cook scored a touchdown after a short run from the Florala five-yard line.
The Tigers then attempted a two-point conversion but were unsuccessful.
The Tigers later extended their lead after a 39-yard touchdown run by Daniels, followed by a two-point conversion by Cook.
With four minutes left, Florala managed to score after a touchdown pass to Wildcat wide receiver Zane Weeks.
The Wildcats attempted a two-point conversion but were unsuccessful.
The Wildcats then attempted an offside kick that the Tigers recovered.
Although the Wildcats recovered a fumble by the Tigers at their 11-yard line, shortly after, Jayden McMillian caught a pick-six to extend the Tigers lead.
The Wildcats scored one final time after a 70-yard run by Austin Howell, followed by a two-point conversion.
With the win, the Tigers improved to 5-4 for the season.
McKenzie will face off against Georgiana in a conference away game this Friday.
