The Greenville Tigers beat the Andalusia Bulldogs in Friday’s conference away game with a final score of 28-20.
Greenville received the opening kickoff and began their opening drive on their 24-yard line.
Greenville made the game’s first score halfway into the first quarter when Andre Davidson threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Jacob Foster.
The Tigers tried for a two-point conversion but were unsuccessful.
The Tigers extended their lead in the second quarter when Davidson threw a 45-yard touchdown pass to Javonte Herbert. The Tigers completed a two-point conversion.
Following the kickoff, Bulldogs running back J’marion Burnette ran for a 50-yard rushing touchdown.
Greenville took possession of the ball on their 20-yard line but could not make the first down and had to punt away.
With under a minute until halftime, Bulldogs quarterback Ayden Amis threw a 57-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Kaden Denson.
At halftime, the score was tied 14-14.
Andalusia received the ball on their 25-yard line to start the second half.
With six minutes to go in the third, Burnette ran for an eight-yard touchdown allowing the Bulldogs to take the lead. Andalusia went for a two-point conversion but couldn’t get in the end zone.
Davidson threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Boggan during the fourth quarter to tie the game.
A 59-yard pick-six by Javoris Smith, followed by a two-point conversion, secured the Tigers’ victory.
Greenville will play a conference game at Pike Road this Friday.
