The Butler County Board of Education will begin accepting applications for the District 4 Board of Education member vacancy on September 17, 2021.   Interested citizens residing within that district may obtain an application by contacting Tina Powell at the Butler County Board of Education Central Office located at 211 School Highlands Road, Greenville, Alabama.  She may be reached at 334-382-2665, ext. 1100 or by e-mail at tina.powell@butlerco.k12.al.us .

Applicants must be a resident of District 4.  Completed applications should be forwarded to Mr. Lewis S. Hamilton, Board Attorney via certified mail or hand delivery at the address below no later than 5:00 p.m. on October 1, 2021.

A special called meeting will be conducted on Thursday, October 7, 2021  at 6:00 p.m. to interview prospective candidates.  The meeting will be held at the Central Office Boardroom located at 949 Oglesby Street in Greenville, Alabama.

A special called meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Office Boardroom to select and officially swear in the new District 4 Board of Education member. The public is encouraged to attend.
