Cynthia A. Herbert will have a book signing for her very first children’s book Saturday, August 14, at 9 a.m. at the Gallery, 1205B E Commerce St, Greenville, Ala. Gift bags will be given out to the children.

Herbert has been dreamed of being an author for some time and with her release of “Macy Hill,” that dream has been achieved.

Herbert said that there were many experiences in her childhood that changed how she saw the world.

“Some of those challenges still exist, but the passion inside of me pushes me out of my comfort zone to overcome the hurdles in our society today,” she said.

The book focuses on Macy Hill as she becomes a role model for her peers through her leadership.

“Macy refused to let fear hinder her because she stood her ground and earned respect,” Herbert said.

Macy organizes the first athletic program for girls in her school teaching children about gender equality through the book’s story.

The book is currently available on Amazon as paperback or in kindle form. Come out and support the newest author in Greenville.
