Do you have a favorite restaurant that always remembers just how you like your sweet tea? Or maybe that special vet who knows just where Fluffy likes to be scratched? Show your appreciation by nominating them for the “Best of Butler” Readers’ Choice Award. Nominations are now open.

The second annual “Best of Butler” awards are open for nominations now through June 30 at 5 p.m. Nominations can be made at greenvilleadvocate.com/contest and there are 100 plus categories in which to nominate.

What is better than showing appreciation for hardworking people in the community? Cold hard plastic! Nominate in 25 or more categories and you will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card.

“This event helps businesses be recognized for the effort they put forth,” David Lovell, marketing manager for the Greenville Advocate, said. “They work hard throughout the year and this allows them the opportunity to be recognized by the local people. Most importantly, this gives local people a chance to have their voices heard.”

Once all nominations are in, voting will commence with the two most nominated in each group. Voting will continue through August.

Winners of the “Best of Butler” will be announced in September’s special winner’s addition. Winners will receive a “Best of Butler” framed certificate.

“The best thing about being involved in this event is seeing the excitement when a business has won the “Best of Butler” award and seeing the appreciation these businesses have for the community that chose them,” Lovell said.
