Greenville City Council approve airport improvement grant

The Greenville City Council recently authored the application of a $279,000 airport improvement grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration.
This occurred at the recent city council meeting.
The grant will help to relocate the airport taxiway connector.
Regarding the rest of the meeting, the city council
- Approved a $3,000 budgeted expenditure for Daniel Ingram for scheduling umpires for all recreation league games
- Authorized a $1,138 budgeted expenditure for Moore and David Nursery to purchase plants and shrubs for the horticulture department
- Approved a $1,199 budgeted expenditure for Ozark Materials for the purchase of 30 gallons of white and yellow traffic paint
