The Southside Baptist Church recently acquired the old Dairy Dream building in Greenville. The one with the GIANT rooster perched atop.

The church has received several inquiries on the rooster and where he might end up. After some deliberation, the church has decided to have a sealed bid auction. Minimum bid is $1000.

All bid submissions must me sealed in an envelope and labeled “Chicken Silent Auction Bid.” Include name, bid and phone number.

All submissions will be opened the afternoon of April 22, by the church leadership. Winner will be contacted immediately and announced Sunday, April 25.

Donations and winning bid money will be used to further community ministries. The church operates the Shepherd’s Table ministry which passed out over 500 Cheeseburger sack lunches and hundreds of bags of groceries this past week.
